Delete a document
Move a document to the trash. It is marked as deleted but not yet removed — restore it, or let the workspace’s trash window purge it.
Works for every status, including COMPLETED. You are the controller of your data; deciding when a signed agreement goes is your call.
Note: Deleted documents are not included in list responses but can still be retrieved by ID.
To remove a document immediately and irreversibly, use POST /api/v1/documents/{id}/purge.
Authorizations
Personal API key, e.g. Authorization: Bearer sajn_sk_.... Not scope-limited — acts as the issuing user.
Headers
Bearer token for API authentication
Makes retries safe. A retry with the same key and the same request replays the stored response for 24 hours (header Idempotent-Replayed: true); the same key with a different request returns 400.
